TIME: LGBTQ Conversion Therapy Harms Us All

I’ll never forget the first time I picked up a copy of Garrard Conley’s book, Boy Erased,, in 2016. I was moved to read a story that so closely resembled my own.

I am so honored to co-author this op-ed for TIME him on the Supreme Court’s upcoming ruling in the case of Chiles v. Salazar, which is debating conversion therapy bans in Colorado.

If the Court strikes down these bans, it will put many people in danger.

We would like to tell you why bans on conversion therapy are necessary, and how LGBTQ conversion therapy is harmful even for straight people.
